METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SEPARATING RESIDUAL MATERIALS

The method involves separating residual substances (4) into two fractions. The residual substances from a waste treatment plant are delivered in dried form and separated into a fine fraction and a crude fraction. The residual substances are discharged downward under application of a shaking movement to cascade shaped channels, and intermediate free fall distances at a level. The fine fraction is discharged by a gas flow (9) within the range of the free fall distances. The rough fraction with the exception of the fine fraction, is discharged by the down wind runs through the cascade. An independent claim is also included for a device for the separation of residual substances from a thermal waste treatment.
