PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that can reduce heat-up time of a fixing nip part and prevent the occurrence of spark discharge.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes a heating rotating member 31 having a resistance heating element 42 that generates heat upon energization and a pressure rotating member 32 that is in pressure contact with the heating rotating member 31. The heating rotating member 31 and pressure rotating member 32 has a fixing nip part 33 formed therebetween, and a recording material P having an unfixed toner image thereon is passed through the fixing nip part 33 to fix the image to the recording material P. The heating rotating member 31 includes a rotating body 41 that is in pressure contact with the pressure rotating member 32, the resistance heating element 42 that is located on the inner peripheral side of the rotating body 41 and configured separated from the rotating body 41, and a pair of power feed bodies 43 that are in electrical conduction with the resistance heating element 42. The resistance heating element 42 matches the rotating body 41 and fixing nip part 33 in the longitudinal direction. At least one of the pair of power feed bodies 43 is configured by a movement actuator 54 to be movable along the longitudinal direction of the fixing nip part 33. |
