PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a liquid discharge head, which restrains the liquid discharge head from being broken by heat treatment.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a liquid discharge head includes a step S208 of forming a heater element on a base plate on which a semiconductor device is arrayed, and a step S209 of forming a protective layer brought into contact with a top surface of the heater element. Before the step of forming the protective layer, heat treatment and hydrogen alloy treatment are performed by a hydrogen-containing atmosphere to improve durability of the liquid discharge head. |
