摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable highly accurate detection of a focal point by suppressing an increase in an arithmetic circuit scale or an arithmetic load, even when a focal point detection area includes a line not suitable for detection of a correlation amount.SOLUTION: Provided is an image-capturing device including an image-capturing element including a focal point detection pixel having a photoelectric conversion part capable of outputting a pair of image signals for focal point detection, wherein the image-capturing device determines whether each pixel line of the image-capturing element is a non-addition line for outputting an image signal not suitable for detection of a correlation amount; calculates a correlation amount for each addition line on the basis of the pair of image signals outputted from the focal point detection pixel included in an addition line determined not to be the non-addition line; adds the calculated correlation amount of the addition line, counts the number of addition lines, and calculates a defocus amount on the basis of the added correlation amount; and, if the product of an evaluation value indicating the reliability of the defocus amount and a standard addition number is smaller than the product of the number of addition lines and a standard evaluation value, drives a focus lens on the basis of the defocus amount.
