PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state imaging device which performs pixel mixture equivalent to a weighted summation of signals from a plurality of rows in the device.SOLUTION: A solid state imaging device 4 comprises: a plurality of pixels PX which are arranged in two dimensions; a plurality of vertical signal lines 28 which are provided on respective columns of the plurality of pixels PX; an output unit OUT which is provided for a pixel group of p pixels PX in one-to-one correspondence; and a connection switch CON which connects/cuts off between nodes P of adjoining pixel groups in a column direction of the plurality of pixels PX. A capacitance formation unit CP of at least one of the pixels PX comprises: a plurality of capacitors FDA, PDB; and switching sections SWA, SWB for switching between a first state in which the capacitors FDA, PDB effectively participate capacitance formation for a node P of the pixel PX and a second state in which only a part of the capacitors FDA, PDB effectively participates capacitance formation for the node P of the pixel PX. |
