PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension liquid for variable electromagnetic wave adjustment elements capable of electrically controlling, in a variable electromagnetic wave adjustment element for adjusting the transmission state of an electromagnetic wave by using a particle suspension liquid, the alignment and dispersion states of particles in the particle suspension liquid, and capable of achieving a bidirectional change between these stages in a short time, and to provide a variable electromagnetic wave adjustment element using the same.SOLUTION: Provided is a suspension liquid for variable electromagnetic wave adjustment elements including an electromagnetic wave commutator and at least one kind of compound selected from the group consisting of a first compound having an amide structure and a hydrophobic structure and a second compound having an ester structure, an amine structure, and the hydrophobic structure. Also provided is a variable electromagnetic wave adjustment element created by holding the suspension liquid for variable electromagnetic wave adjustment elements between two sheets of conductive base material. |
