PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual quantity detection device capable of detecting residual quantity of recording sheets mounted on a lift plate as a laminate with a small number of components, and having extremely small limitation in design.SOLUTION: A residual quantity detection device 90 for detecting the residual quantity of recording sheets P stored in a sheet feeding part of an image forming device comprises: a lift plate 611 disposed on the sheet feeding part and moving according to the residual quantity of the recording sheets P; a coil spring 91 stretching according to a position of the lift plate 611; an oscillation circuit 92 applying predetermined AC voltage to the coil spring 91; a core 94 around which the coil spring 91 is wound; a detection coil 93 wound around the core 94; and a detection circuit 95 for detecting voltage of the detection coil 93. |
