The control system includes a correction torque arithmetic unit 20c that computes an engine torque correction value &Dgr;Te on the basis of a second clutch input command torque Tunder the first control mode, and a second clutch input actual torque Tunder the first control mode, and an engine speed control unit 21a that uses the engine torque correction value &Dgr;Te to correct an initial value of an engine speed control engine torque command value Te1to be provided at the time of initiating engine speed control for the engine 1 when modes are changed from the first control mode to the second control mode.
