PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a formed image reading device and an ink jet recording device capable of efficiently maintaining the reading accuracy of information.SOLUTION: A formed image reading device for reading information from a recording medium in an inkjet recording device for forming an image on a recording medium by discharging thermosoftening ink from a plurality of nozzles includes: a detection part for detecting incident light from the reading range of information; a translucent cover member disposed on the incident surface of the incident light; a heating part for heating the cover member; and cover member heating control means for heating the cover member by operating the heating part. The cover member is cleaned by a reading cover cleaning part in a state where it is heated by the heating part. |
