PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce substantially a time needed for work by displaying a deviation amount between an arbitrarily-set reference floor and a car position at a maintenance device and eliminating temporary movement to a specified reference floor in a case of performing maintenance, periodical inspection, failure repair etc. of an elevator.SOLUTION: An maintenance and inspection system comprises: an elevator control device 6 which includes a floor height table storage part 8 for storing vertical distances of each floor, a car position data storage part 9 for storing the height position of a car, a reference floor position storage part 10 for storing a floor that is reference, and a calculation part 11; and a maintenance device 14 which includes a reference floor input part 17 for changing the reference floor and a display part 16 for displaying the reference floor. The calculation part 11 calculates a deviation amount between the height position of a car and the height position of an arbitrarily-set reference floor by subtracting the height of the arbitrarily-set reference floor from the lowest floor from the height position of the car from the lowest floor, and the display part 16 of the maintenance device 14 displays the calculated deviation amount of the car position as well as display of the reference floor.
