PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm pump which can improve energy efficiency by eliminating waste in the conventional structure.SOLUTION: The diaphragm pump in which a pair of actuation fluid chambers 7, 8 and a pair of pump chambers 9, 10 parted by the actuation fluid chambers and diaphragms 5, 6 are arranged on linear symmetrical positions, in ascending order of the distance from the symmetrical axis, a center rod 4 which allows both edges thereof to be connected to the pair of diaphragms 5, 6 is supported so as to penetrate the actuation fluid chambers 7, 8 freely movably around and in an axial direction perpendicular to the symmetrical axis, fluid is alternately supplied or discharged to the pair of actuation fluid chambers 7, 8, thereby, volumes of the pair of actuation fluid chambers 7, 8 are alternately increased or decreased, therefore, the pair of diaphragms 5, 6 are varied, and the center rod 4 interlocked with the variation of the diaphragms are reciprocated in the axial direction, includes communication means 74, 75, 80, 81 which communicates the pair of actuation fluid chambers 7, 8 when the fluid is discharged from one of the pair of actuation fluid chambers 7, 8. |
