PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device for more accurately correcting a deviation in image formation occurring between a plurality of image formation units.SOLUTION: The present invention pertains to an image formation device comprising an image formation section provided with a plurality of image formation units for forming an image on a medium, a first opening/closing body disposed in an opening accessible to the image formation units, a second opening/closing body, and a first open/closed sensor. This image formation device is characterized by having: means for detecting and correcting an amount of image formation deviation with timing corresponding to control; means for storing the amount of image formation deviation; means for executing, upon the first opening/closing body being put in a closed state, the detection of the amount of image formation deviation and the correction of the amount of image formation deviation; means for comparing the amount of image formation deviation most recently detected and the amount of image formation deviation previously stored, to find a difference in the amount of image formation deviation between the two; and means for executing, if the found difference is larger than a prescribed threshold, the detection and correction of the amount of image formation deviation again before image formation on the medium is performed next time. |
