<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing apparatus for vehicles that can provide a vehicle body with forces similar to inertial forces working on the vehicle body at the time of accelerating, decelerating, turning or some other action of a real vehicle without allowing the vehicle body to run relative to members supporting wheels of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A testing apparatus 1 for vehicles comprises a first motion base 3 for supporting a test sample mounting body 2 and causing the test sample mounting body 2 to make motions of six degrees of freedom, and four second motion bases 4, 5, 6 and 7 for supporting axles 21S, 22S, 23S and 24S and causing the four axles 21S, 22S, 23S and 24S to make motions of six degrees of freedom. Output shafts of four external force adding motors 31, 32, 33 and 34 are linked to the outer ends of the four axles 21S, 22S, 23S and 24S. A matching external force adding motor is fitted to a movable base 12 of each second motion base with a plurality of elastic bodies 15 and a motor fitting plate 16 in-between.</p> |
