PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure, using a simple configuration, that, when a developer carrier and an image carrier rotate during image formation, an interval guarantee member is not moved in the direction of rotation of the same.SOLUTION: An interval guarantee member comprises: a first image carrier side rubbing part for sliding and rubbing a developer carrier upstream, in the rotation direction of an image carrier, from a most proximate position at which the distance between the image carrier and the developer carrier is nearest; a first developer carrier side rubbing part for sliding and rubbing the developer carrier upstream, in the rotation direction of the developer carrier, from the most proximate position; a second image carrier side rubbing part for sliding and rubbing the image carrier downstream, in the rotation direction of the image carrier, from the most proximate position; and a second developer carrier side rubbing part for sliding and rubbing the developer carrier downstream, in the rotation direction of the developer carrier, from the most proximate position. When the image carrier and the developer carrier rotate, each of the first image carrier side rubbing part and the first developer carrier side rubbing part keeps the interval guarantee member from moving in the rotation direction by contacting the image carrier and the developer carrier. |
