PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas phase decomposition body capable of decomposing and removing a specific substance such as a harmful chemical substance in a gas phase with good selectivity and high efficiency, a gas phase decomposition unit including the gas phase decomposition body, and a gas phase purifying method using the gas phase decomposition unit, and to provide a method for producing the gas phase decomposition body capable of inexpensively producing the gas phase decomposition body, and to further provide a gas phase decomposition body and a gas phase decomposition unit which can decompose and remove a specific substance such as a harmful chemical substance in a gas phase with good selectivity and high efficiency even when having been stored for a long period, and can keep such the action for a long period.SOLUTION: A gas phase decomposition body is formed of a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin, a yeast-derived gas phase decomposing enzyme, and a mixture liquid containing water. |
