PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of ensuring the efficiency even when the load current changes.SOLUTION: The power converter includes: a high-side switch circuit 1; a low-side switch circuit 2; a chip-area control circuit 3; a current detector 4; a high-side control signal 12; and a low-side control signal 13. The high-side switch circuit 1 is constituted of a high-side switch set 20a having n switches connected in parallel to each other; and the high-side switch set 20a has a high-side control switch 22a. The low-side switch circuit 2 is constituted of a low-side switch set 20b having n switches connected in parallel to each other; and the low-side switch set 20b has a low-side control switch 22b. The power converter has a function to determine the number of the high-side control switches 22a to be turned ON and the number of the low-side control switches 22b to be turned ON depending on the magnitude of the load current. |
