PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize medium or low magnetization while sustaining image quality, and improve resistance to a magnetic field.SOLUTION: An MRI system 1 detects nuclear magnetic resonance signals emitted through nuclear magnetic resonances of nuclei in a subject 2, and includes magnetic field generation means 3 that generates at least a static magnetic field in a space including the subject 2, a non-high temperature superconducting SNS type SQUID sensor 6 that detects the nuclear magnetic resonance signals, and a cryogenic refrigerator 7 that cools the non-high temperature superconducting SNS type SQUID sensor. The non-high temperature superconducting SNS type SQUID sensor 6 can sustain image quality even in a medium or low magnetic field because it exhibits a highly sensitive property in the medium or low magnetic field. Further, the non-high temperature superconducting SNS type SQUID sensor 6 has a property of hardly causing a flux trap, and is therefore unsusceptible to an adverse effect of an external magnetic field. |
