<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device capable of securing stable polishing between a cleaning roller and the surface of a photoreceptor drum by using a cleaning roller whose surface hardness is harder than its inner layer hardness, and capable of suppressing the occurrence of filming and the occurrence of leak marks, and further suppressing the occurrence of uneven polishing, etc., caused by a long period of use.SOLUTION: The present invention is provided with a cleaning roller 36 for polishing and rubbing the surface of a photoreceptor drum 22 on which a toner image is formed by an abrasive-containing toner and disposed so as to be rotatable facing the photoreceptor drum 22. The cleaning roller 36 consists of an elastic foamed body roller 42 formed on an outer layer of a core grid 41, on the surface of the elastic foamed body roller a recess 42a and a protrusion 42b are formed alternately along the circumferential direction, the recess 42a and the protrusion 42b are formed over the entire area along the direction of the axis, and the protrusion 42b has higher hardness than at least the bottom of the recess 42a, as compared with hardness on the inner circumferential side.</p> |
