PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system and an authentication method which use various authentication methods in order to enhance the security level and perform highly accurate authentication.SOLUTION: An authentication system comprises: terminals 1 which access a plurality of service providing devices 2; and an authentication device 4 which authenticates a user using the terminal. The authentication device 4 comprises: distribution means 41 which distributes an authentication information generation rule including a plurality of pieces of authentication logic to the terminal 1; and authentication means 42 which receives authentication information from the terminal, and performs authentication on the basis of the authentication information. The terminal 1 comprises: authentication information generation means 13 which selects one piece of authentication logic from the plurality of pieces of authentication logic according to the authentication information generation rule, and generates authentication information on the basis of input user information by using the selected authentication logic; and transmission means 14 which transmits the generated authentication information to the authentication server 4. |
