PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass gob manufacturing method capable of manufacturing a glass gob at high productivity.SOLUTION: A glass gob manufacturing method includes: a step of arranging a molding die 400 supported by a support member 110 below a pipe 30 for flowing molten glass, and receiving the molten glass on a molding face 410a while injecting gas from the molding face 410a of the molding die 400 from which gas can be injected; a step of supplying a molten glass gob on the molding face 410a under a floating state by lowering the molding die 400 at a speed faster than a flowing speed of the molten glass to cut the molten glass when the molten glass on the molding die 400 reaches a predetermined weight; a step of transferring the molding die 400 to which the molten glass gob is supplied from the support member 110 to a molding die supporting stand 200; and a step of molding the molten glass gob on the molding die transferred to the molding die support stand 200. |
