PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently recover scattering developer, without causing the degradation of image quality.SOLUTION: A developing roller 34 arranged to face a photoreceptor drum is exposed from the opening H of the housing 20 of a developing device 124. An image forming apparatus includes a toner recovery duct D for sucking toner scattering in the vicinity of the opening H and conveying the toner up to a toner recovery container 60. The toner recovery duct D includes an upstream duct 50, a connecting duct 40, an elbow duct 51, and a downstream duct 52. An air flow including the toner flows in the upstream duct 50 from a suction port arranged in the vicinity of the opening H. An air intake 43 is provided in the connecting duct 40. Thus, the speed of the air flow passing through a third duct part D3 inside the connecting duct 40 is faster than the speed of the air flow passing through a first duct part D1 inside the upstream duct 50. Therefore, staying of the toner in the third duct part D3 can be avoided without excessively sucking the toner from the suction port. |
