PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost stator for rotary electric machines that can maintain connection quality at a neutral point.SOLUTION: In a stator 1 of a rotary electric machine provided with a stator iron core 2 and rounds of winding 4 each having a plurality of phases and wound around the stator iron core 2 via an insulator 3, each round of winding 4 has neutral point side transition wires 9a to 9c on the connection side of the neutral point 8; any of the neutral point side transition wires 9a to 9c gives rise to no stress relaxation at normal temperature and is formed of an electro-conductive member; the neutral point side transition wires 9a to 9c of different phases are connected at the neutral point 8; and each round of winding 4 is formed of aluminum material elsewhere than the parts of the neutral point side transition wires 9a to 9c.
