<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of multiplex image and image blurring caused by pixel mapping.SOLUTION: A stereoscopic image display device includes a display part containing a display panel and an optical aperture part, beam direction quantization part which partitions a surface in which a plurality of subpixels are arrayed on the panel into a plurality of regions, a subpixel selection part which groups one or more subpixels corresponding to each of the plurality of regions into subpixel groups, a representative beam calculation part which calculates a representative beam number representing outgoing direction of representative beam representing a subpixel contained in each subpixel group, a brightness calculation part which, based on the outgoing direction of the representative beam and model data, calculates a brightness value corresponding to the representative beam number for each subpixel group, and a subpixel brightness calculation part which determines a brightness value of the subpixel contained in the subpixel group based on the brightness value.</p> |
