<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve formation of light-shielding material using a discharge head, while preventing an optical lens area from being in contact with mist that occurs during discharge of droplets from the discharge head.SOLUTION: A method for forming an optical element with a light-shielding section includes: a first step of forming a portion of a light-shielding section by discharging a portion of a discharge liquid from a given discharge opening to an optical surface via a shielding component which is provided between the discharge opening and the optical surface, in such a state that an area on the optical surface, other than an area where the light-shielding section is formed, is shielded and the portion of the light-shielding section is shielded by a support shielding section; a second step of changing a position of a portion of the shielding component so that the portion of the light-shielding section formed at the first step is shielded; and a third step of applying the discharge liquid to an area where a light-shielding section, not formed at the first step, is formed on the optical surface, by discharging the discharge liquid from the discharge opening to the optical surface via the shielding component whose position is changed at the second step.</p> |
