PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of reducing a filling amount of refrigerant and suppressing the risk of failure.SOLUTION: An air conditioner comprises: an outdoor unit 11 that includes a compressor 14, an outdoor heat exchanger 15, and an electronic expansion valve 16; an indoor unit 12 including an indoor heat exchanger 22; a refrigerant pipe 13 connecting the outdoor unit 11 to the indoor unit 12; and a controller 19 controlling the compressor 14 and the electronic expansion valve 16. HFC single refrigerant is used as refrigerant. A main pipe thermistor 24 is provided at an intermediate position of the refrigerant pipe 13 of the indoor heat exchanger 22 during a cooling operation, and an auxiliary thermistor 25 is provided at an inlet pipe position of a member of the refrigerant pipe 13 to measure temperatures of the respective regions. The controller 19 controls an opening of the electronic expansion valve 16 to open the electronic expansion valve 16 if a temperature difference of the auxiliary thermistor 25 from the main pipe thermistor 24 during the cooling operation is not less than a reference value. |
