PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly convey a transfer material along a guide member.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a transfer part 9 transferring a toner image from an image carrier 7 to a transfer material P, a fixing part 11 fixing the toner image to the transfer material P, a guide member 31 guiding the transfer material P conveyed from the transfer part 9 to the fixing part 11 and made of a conductive material, a discharging bias voltage application part 33 applying a discharging bias voltage to a discharging member 32 arranged between the guide member 31 and the transfer part 9, and a control part 35 increasing the discharging bias voltage, when a distance between the transfer material P and the guide member 31 becomes smaller than a lower-limit reference value L1. |
