<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical path controller capable of preventing overshoot of coupling efficiency from occurring when controlling the optical coupling efficiency to an output port.SOLUTION: A wavelength selection switch 1 comprises: a spectroscopic element 13 that disperses light from an input port Paccording to each prescribed wavelength component; a MEMS mirror 15 that deflects each dispersed light in first and second directions in accordance with first and second control voltages V1 and V2 and deflects the dispersed light so as to be coupled to a prescribed output port P; and a control section 20 that controls a deflection angle of the MEMS mirror 15 by applying the first and second control voltages V1 and V2. When coupling efficiency of light to be output from the output port Pis plotted, each of coupling efficiency contours C1 to C4 has a non-circular shape and a coupling efficiency ridge line E21 is inclined in an X-axis positive or negative direction as a Y-coordinate increases. The control section 20 controls the deflection angle of the MEMS mirror 15 by varying the first and second control voltages V1 and V2 on the basis of the shape of the coupling efficiency ridge line E21.</p> |
