PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature controller of a wavelength conversion element capable of stably outputting second harmonic output by suppressing the saturation of the second harmonic output in a high-output wavelength conversion element, and comprised of a simple configuration.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises: a wavelength conversion element 2 for converting a fundamental wave into a harmonic wave and having an incident surface on which the fundamental wave is incident and an emission surface from which the harmonic wave is emitted; a holding member 1 for holding the wavelength conversion element and having excellent thermal conductivity; and a temperature adjustment element 3 for adjusting the temperature of the wavelength conversion element by heating or cooling the holding member. At least one of the holding member and the wavelength conversion element is configured so that the thermal resistance of a contact surface on which the holding member and the wavelength conversion element contact each other has a fluctuating distribution at least in part from the incident surface to the emission surface. |
