PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermo-magnetic cycle device capable of reaching a stationary operation temperature in short time.SOLUTION: A vehicle air conditioner 10 comprises a magneto-caloric effect heat pump device (MHP device 11) that is one type of a thermo-magnetic cycle device. The MHP device 11 includes a magneto caloric element (MCE element) 12 performing heat generation and heat absorption according to a magnitude of an external magnetic field. A controller 18 includes an initial control unit 18a controlling a temperature of the MCE element 12 so that the temperature of the MCE element 12 is closer to a high performance temperature zone that enables the MCE element 12 to exhibit high performance in an initial state in which the temperature of the MCE element 12 is out of the high performance temperature zone. This initial control unit 18a can accelerate starting the MHP device 11. The initial control unit 18a often activates an auxiliary device 61. The auxiliary device 61 accelerates starting the MHP device 11 by heating or cooling a part of or all of the MCE element 12. |
