The present invention relates to steel sheet coating system and method using a bar coater, and, more specifically, to coating system and method, which can improve the appearance of the surface of a steel sheet and realize the high distinctness by using UV curing. According to an aspect, provided is a steel sheet coating system, which comprises: a paint supply unit for supplying a UV curable paint composition; a coating unit having a bar coater for spreading the supplied UV curable paint composition; and a UV radiation unit having a UV lamp for curing the spread UV curable paint composition. According to another aspect of the present invention, provided is a steel sheet coating method, which comprises: a step of supplying the UV curable paint composition on the steel sheet; a step of spreading the supplied UV curable paint composition with the bar coater; and a step of curing the spread UV curable paint composition by radiating UV rays.
