PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectrode having a high photoelectric conversion efficiency by suppressing absorption leakage of incident light even when an incident angle of sunlight is changed and by being made support more sensitization dye, and to provide a dye-sensitized solar battery using the photoelectrode.SOLUTION: Between a light transmissive substrate 8 and a counter electrode 10, a photoelectrode 1 is arranged. The photoelectrode 1 consists of: a conductive substrate 2 having a recessed part 5 and a through-hole 6, the recessed part 5 being provided on at least one surface and having such a shape that an area of a bottom part is smaller than that of a surface side part; a semiconductor layer 3 formed on one surface having the recessed part 5, of the conductive substrate 2; and sensitization dye 4 supported by the semiconductor layer 3. The photoelectrode 1 is arranged so that the surface on which the semiconductor layer 3 supporting the sensitization dye 4 is formed is directed toward the light transmissive substrate 8 side. A part between the light transmissive substrate 8 and the counter electrode 10 is filled with an electrolyte layer 9. |
