PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that performs communication confirmation at any section in a network in which any transfer rule can be set per transfer part.SOLUTION: A communication confirmation device 1 comprises: a communication confirmation request receiving unit 30 for accepting the specification of a communication confirmation section where the state of communication should be confirmed about a network in which any transfer rule can be set per transfer part; a confirmation packet generating unit 32 for generating confirmation data according to the transfer rule at the specified confirmation section of which the specification was accepted; and a confirmation result determination unit 36 that transmits the confirmation data generated by the confirmation packet generating unit to the network, and determines whether communication at the communication confirmation section is performed normally or not referring the returned confirmation data.
