PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition containing a low-concentration additive which inhibits proliferation of microbes.SOLUTION: The composition contains an aqueous extract of red pepper in an amount of 0.1 wt.% or more and an extract of grapefruit seeds in an amount of 0.005 wt.% or more. The composition is preferably a liquid, in particular a refreshing beverage.
