PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber/emitter having good absorption efficiency of thermal energy and good emission efficiency of thermal energy when integrating the absorber with the emitter to use them.SOLUTION: An absorber/emitter (101) used for thermal photovoltaic power generation includes an absorber plane (AP) for absorbing thermal energy on one principal plane and an emitter plane (EP) for emitting thermal energy absorbed by the absorber plane (AP) on the other principal plane. As to the absorber plane (AP), at least the outermost surface thereof is made of metal and has a microstructure, and as to the emitter plane (EP), at least the outermost surface thereof is made of metal and has a microstructure different from the absorber plane (AP). Absorption characteristics of the absorber plane (AP) have a peak in the visible range of the wavelength of visible light, and emission characteristics of the emitter plane (EP) have a peak in the infrared region of the wavelength of infrared. |
