PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform inventory management so that commodities, such as food products and food materials, the sell-by dates of which are not passed can be effectively used in the case where the commodities to be shipped are temporarily stored in an inventory location such as a storage.SOLUTION: An information management device includes: a storage unit for storing an inventory database including an acceptance number, article name, packaging quantity, and due date information of an accepted commodity in the state of correspondence; a control unit that reads out the due date information of a commodity from the inventory database, compares the time limit indicated by the read out due date information with a predetermined time limit, and thereby issues a reminder if the time limit represented by the due date information is within the predetermined time limit, and searches the inventory database using the article name of a commodity requested for delivery as a search key word, and generates delivery information on the basis of the inventory database and information about a delivery destination if there is stock of the commodity; and a communication unit for transmitting the delivery information generated by the control unit. |
