<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric disc brake device capable of obtaining large braking force while securing sufficient durability.SOLUTION: A thrust generating mechanism 8a for converting a torque of an electric motor into an axial thrust for pressing out a piston 12a from a cylinder space 7a, is composed of a feed screw mechanism 13a and a boosting mechanism 14a. In the booting mechanism 14a, a structure using a truncated cone-shaped taper roller 43 is substituted for a conventional ball-ramp type boosting mechanism using a ball. A cylindrical guide ring 44 is arranged around the taper roller 43 to bear a component force directing radially outward and acting on the taper roller 43.</p> |
