PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating device, a lighting device, a light source unit, and a power supply method for a light-emitting element, capable of improving safety in removing a light source.SOLUTION: An illuminating device 1 comprises a lighting device 100, and a light source unit 200 connected with the lighting device 100. The lighting device 100 comprises: a DC conversion circuit connected with an AC power supply; an inverter circuit 20 converting a DC converted by the DC conversion circuit into an AC; a constant current control circuit 30 controlling the inverter circuit 20 so that an output of the inverter circuit 20 becomes equal to a set value; and an output connector CNo connected with the inverter circuit 20 and outputting the AC. The light source unit 200 comprises: an input connector CNi electrically connected with the output connector CNo; a diode bridge DB connected with the input connector CNi and rectifying the AC output from the lighting device 100; a smoothing capacitor C1 smoothing the rectified current output from the diode bridge DB; and a light-emitting element LED turned on by electric charge charged in the smoothing capacitor C1.
