摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detection method and an ultrasonic flaw detection device capable of reducing a time required for putting a contact medium reserving part into a stabilized state and capable of coping with a material to be flaw-detected having various outer diameters by one shoe.SOLUTION: A shoe 21 is made to abut against an upper part of an outer peripheral surface of a material 10 to be flaw-detected whose longitudinal direction is in a horizontal state, and a contact medium reserving part 22 communicated with the shoe 21 is disposed thereon, and when the material 10 to be flaw-detected is ultrasonic flaw-detected by an ultrasonic probe via a contact medium supplied and filled into the contact medium reserving part 22 and the shoe 21, an eddy current is generated in the contact medium of the contact medium reserving part by absorbing and discharging an air bubble together with the contact medium from a side discharge port 25 while supplying the contact medium from a side supply port 24, and the air bubble together with the contact medium are absorbed and discharged from an upper discharge port 26 disposed in a center of the eddy current.
