Disclosed are a recording medium in which a multi-track file is recorded, and a method and an apparatus for editing a multi-track media file. According to the present invention, the apparatus for editing a media file is provided by the following steps of: storing a multi-track media file including at least one audio track and at least one video track corresponding to the audio track; receiving an output adjustment command for the audio track or the video track from a user; generating a volume adjustment value according to the output adjustment command; and recording the generated volume adjustment value in the multi-track media file. According to the present invention, a user can produce user′s own multimedia file by variously editing multimedia files according to user preferences, such as inserting a user voice instead of existing audio into a multimedia file, such as a music video file or the likes, or inserting a video recorded by the user instead of an existing video.
