摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for acquiring a vibration reduction effect for a gradient magnetic field coil in a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus without reducing a space that a person to be examined enters.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a static magnetic field generation part provided with a static magnetic field generation magnet for generating a uniform static magnetic field in a space where a person to be examined is accommodated, a gradient magnetic field generation part provided with a gradient magnetic field coil for generating a gradient magnetic field in a manner to be superimposed on the static magnetic field; and an image processing part for detecting an NMR signal generated from the person to be examined by the irradiation of a high frequency magnetic field, and imaging the detected signal. The gradient magnetic field coil is provided along the inner periphery of the cylindrical cavity of the static magnetic field generation magnet. The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus also includes a damper mechanism for reducing the vibration caused by the gradient magnetic field coil by inserting an elastic storage bag filled with fluid in a gap between the inner peripheral side of the static magnetic field generation magnet and the gradient magnetic field coil.
