<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain electrical properties and provide elasticity to a junction of a coaxial transmission line.SOLUTION: The invention provides an electrostatic discharge (ESD) limiting device for a coaxial transmission line. A ground portion is positioned within an outer housing (shielding). A center pin is positioned within the ground portion. A beam lead element (e.g., Schottky diode) is positioned between the ground portion and the center pin, and electrically couples the ground portion and the center pin. In addition, one or more spring members are mounted on the ground portion to provide elasticity to the ESD limiting device to maintain signal transmission and grounding within the coaxial transmission line.</p> |
