<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent underrun of another vehicle by suppressing the deformation of an underrun protector, even if the impact load, which is input to the underrun protector, increases sharply immediately after a collision.SOLUTION: An underrun protecting device 10 includes an FUP11, a plurality of unit cases 12 accommodating an airbag unit 13 therein, and a collision detection sensor 14. The collision detection sensor 14, when detecting a collision between a track 1 and another vehicle 15, operates an inflator 23 of the airbag unit 13 to deploy an air bag 24. The air bag 24 deploys backward, because deployment of vertical and vehicle width direction is prevented by a guide hole 26 of the unit case 12. The reaction of deployment force of the air bag 24 received by the FUP 11 acts forward against backward impact load which is inputted to the FUP11 from another vehicle 15. The deformation of FUP11 is suppressed by the reaction of deployment force of the airbag 24.</p> |
