<p>PURPOSE: A system and a method for processing signals for configuration of a high-order multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna are provided to achieve the configuration of the high-order MIMO antenna using configuration of a low-order MIMO antenna. CONSTITUTION: A system for processing signals comprises a digital unit (DU) (200) connected to a core system and processing wireless digital signals; and a plurality of radio units (RU) (110,120,130) physically separated from the DU. The plurality of RUs converts and amplifies a digital signal received from the DU into a frequency signal. Each of the plurality of RUs transmits the signal amplified based on MIMO antenna scheme using two antennas to a terminal and receives a signal transmitted from the terminal based on the MIMO antenna scheme using two antennas.
