The present invention relates to a wound rotor induction motor. The wound rotor induction motor according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an induction motor unit which rotates a rotor using a power supply inputted; a torque control unit which connects a resistance selected by a torque control signal to a rotor winding of the rotor; a power restoring unit which restores an amount of regenerative power from power applied to the induction motor unit corresponding to the torque control signal and returns the same back to the power supply; a resistance control switch which is positioned between the induction motor unit and the torque control unit and opens or closes the connection between the induction motor unit and the torque control unit; a restoring switch which is positioned between the induction motor unit and the power restoring unit and opens or closes the connection between the induction motor unit and the power restoring unit; and a control unit which opens the resistance control switch and closes the restoring switch if a power restoring signal is inputted. |
