PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus having an excellent throughput and high expandability, and an image processing method.SOLUTION: In a printer 101 including a plurality of image processing units (IP-A109, IP-B111, E-A113, and E-B115) performing predetermined image processing on input image data, the plurality of image processing units are connected in series and each have transfer means for transferring the input image data to the subsequent image processing unit as is according to the content of the image data, and image processing means for performing the predetermined image processing on the image data and outputting a result of the processing. |
