PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a negative pressure source while suppressing discomfort of a driver.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device includes: a vacuum booster, having a piston for partitioning a negative-pressure chamber and an atmospheric pressure chamber inside a housing, for boosting braking force by operating the piston with a pressure difference between the negative pressure chamber and the atmospheric pressure chamber; a negative pressure source connected the negative pressure chamber, for pressure-reducing the negative pressure chamber; a threshold setup part for setting an actuation threshold X1 and a stop threshold X2 on the basis of the atmospheric pressure introduced in the atmospheric pressure chamber; and a negative pressure source control part for changing over the negative pressure source between an actuation state and a stop state on the basis of the thresholds X1, X2 and a pressure difference &Dgr;P. |
