PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant composition which reduces and/or removes the odor from urine, feces, leg ulcer exudate, bed sore ulcer, blood, and sweat, and the odor from mammals.SOLUTION: A specified composition includes pentane-1,5-diol which is odorless itself, for reducing odor from mammals. The pentane-1,5-diol has sufficient solubility and deodorant effect, with advantages having low toxicity and ecotoxicity which are already proven.
