PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle collision damage abatement controller capable of preventing system operation from being inhibited by implementation of engine automatic stop.SOLUTION: A vehicle collision damage abatement controller including an idle stop system (3) automatically stopping an engine (2) if predetermined conditions are satisfied and restarting this automatically stopped engine (2), comprises collision probability detection means (11) detecting whether a vehicle collision probably occurs; and collision damage abatement control execution means (14) assisting in vehicle braking. If the collision probability detection means (11) detects that a vehicle collision probably occurs, execution of the automatic stop of the engine (2) is prohibited.
