<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an internal combustion engine controller and an internal combustion engine control method capable of appropriately protecting catalyst and preventing degradation in drivability if an accidental fire state is detected.SOLUTION: A control device of an internal combustion engine including a plurality of cylinders comprises: an accidental fire detector detecting an accidental fire state of each of the plurality of cylinders; a plurality of electronic throttles provided on intake pipes corresponding to the plurality of cylinders, respectively, and regulating intake air amounts for the respective cylinders by throttle openings; and a throttle opening control unit controlling the throttle opening of each of the electronic throttles. If the accidental fire detector detects the accidental fire state of any one of the cylinders, the throttle opening control unit decreases a limit value of the throttle opening of the cylinder over time.</p> |
