The apparatus for controlling traffic in accordance with the present invention includes: a communication unit configured to receive packets corresponding to a terminal; a service checking unit configured to check for a service corresponding to the packets by analyzing the packets; a terminal checking unit configured to analyze the packets and check a type of the terminal; a policy information storage unit configured to store policy information according to at least one of the service and the type of the terminal; and a traffic control unit configured to adjust a transmission rate of the packets corresponding to the service according to the policy information. |
